Like Tai Chi? Love Ving Tsun.

Everyone has Heard of Tai Chi.

Since the earliest widespread promotion of the health benefits of Tai Chi, the art has developed a worldwide following of people for its benefit to personal health. It is said that focusing the mind solely on the movements of the body helps to develop a state of mental calm and clarity.

Why are people doing it?

The physical techniques of tai chi are characterized by the use of leverage through the joints based on coordination and relaxation, rather than muscular tension, in order to neutralize, yield or initiate attacks. The repetitive work involved in the process of learning how that leverage is generated gently and measurably increases and opens the internal circulation of energy, breath, body heat, and blood.

Like Tai Chi? Love Ving Tsun.

If you are looking for the benefits of Tai Chi or simply wanting to become healthier, more focused, or learn an effective form of martial arts, Ving Tsun will give you exactly what you are looking for.

Health

Ving Tsun training concentrates on developing a deep internal relaxation and calm that permeates the body and mind. The traditional Ving Tsun exercises focus on relaxation, balance, and proper body alignment, which through consistent practice help students develop stronger bodies and sharper, more focused minds.

Meditation

The focus and calmness cultivated by the meditative aspect of Ving Tsun gives the practitioner a greater level of control over themselves and their effect on their surroundings. Through both partnered and individual training, the Ving Tsun exercises help students develop a greater awareness of themselves internally and their relationship with the outside world.

Martial art

Ving Tsun training develops proper body structure, posture, and reflexes based on centerline theory rather than relying on physical strength alone, allowing smaller people to overcome bigger stronger opponents. Through repetition students reprogram their bodies to respond effectively, automatically, and subconsciously to incoming threats.

Get a feel for what we do

The best way to get a feel of what Ving Tsun really is, is to participate in an introductory class. We have an introductory program that includes two classes (one private lesson and one group lesson). Participating in this program will give you a really good idea of what we do and its practicality. You can sign up for that program via the links below.
